‘The children love it….

but not as much as we do.’… said a returning guest.

We love Deal with the variety of local shops and pubs and places to eat. Every taste is catered for within very easy walking distance. We can grab a quick coffee or linger over some fine dining, with no hassle of having to drive or get a cab to and fro.

The local shops are a delight, with the mix of High Street staples and the convenience of known brands and wide ranges alongside some fabulously quirky ‘one off’ enterprises.

We adore the summer evening suppers in the garden and always find plenty to do..!

A stay that will never be forgotten

IMG_0346We love staying at Dragon Cottage and it was very sad to leave it. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay extremely comfortable, including making the sun shine! Parking at the Beach Front was no problem at all and we were easily able to unload and reload at the front of the cottage. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and got to some lovely walks directly from the cottage. Joining English Heritage is a must before you go to Deal, Walmer and 20 minutes down the road, Dover Castles are all part of the group. Plenty of shops, restaurants and two big supermarkets in a very short distance from the cottage oh, and a chip shop very nearby. A big thank you to the owners for sharing their cottage.

Our Christmas visit..

Stunning, amazing and beautifully presented home from home. The word amazing does not quite cover Dragon Cottage. The cottage itself is stunning and immaculate and the attention to detail that the owners had is something else. We stayed over New Year so the cottage had the Christmas decorations up, it is clear a lot of thought had gone into those. The cottage has everything you need, the kitchen is fully equipped as are the toiletries in the bathroom and an amazing array of books to choose from too. Two things I like to be spot on when I am away are a restful night’s sleep and a decent shower. The cottage ticked both those boxes. The double bed was comfy and the shower had plenty of ‘oomph’. We had a perfect evening with a log fire and a bottle of wine. The cottage is perfectly located in Deal, with great walks along the sea front in both directions and the High Street just a short walk away. I cannot rave enough about Dragon Cottage, we will definitely be returning. I have fallen in love with Deal and the cottage. Than you for making the cottage a fantastic place to stay.
